This week saw the launch of The Spy Who Loved by Clare Mulley. Set in WW2 it tells the extraordinary story of the first female agent to be dropped into enemy territory. Born to a Polish aristocrat and a wealthy Jewish woman, Christine Granville’s story is one of bravery and survival against the odds. She went on to save two fellow agents from the Gestapo and herself survived arrest by the Nazis. She was awarded the George Cross, OBE and Croix de Guerre. A must-read!
