Helen featured in the final episode of ITV’s Britain’s Secret Homes at Latimer House which reached the No.1 position in the countdown of 50 secret houses. Based around her book The M Room, presenter Sir David Jason spoke from the heart when he said that without Latimer House it is unlikely that we could have won the war. In the programme Sir David met 96-year old “secret listener” Paul Douglas. In the run-up to the programme another “secret listener”, WW2 veteran Fritz Lustig, featured in a 2-page article in the Radio Times when he returned to Latimer House and saw the original cells for the very first time.

Helen has undertaken consultancy work and interviewee for Channel 4, ITV, Channel 5 and National Geographic Channel, as well as independent production companies on matters relating to WW2, British Secret Service history and espionage. She has also been engaged as a historical advisor on set during filming of some of the dramatic reconstructions.
Dramatic reconstructions provided a taste of life above stairs for British intelligence officers, and life below stairs for the German prisoners in the cells in the wine cellar.
